Terms & Conditions Update | Effective: 16/07/2026
For verified guest-caused damage, Stayverz may compensate an eligible Host up to the lower of (a) 15% of the Booking Value and (b) BDT 20,000 per Booking. The claim must be submitted within 12 hours after checkout with clear photo or video evidence. No guest security deposit is charged or held by Stayverz.
This policy outlines the conditions under which Stayverz may compensate eligible Hosts for verified guest-caused damage. It applies alongside our Terms of Use and is a contractual platform benefit available on eligible Bookings.
The Stayverz Host Protection Policy (“Host Protection”) is a contractual platform benefit available on eligible Bookings.
It is intended to provide limited financial protection to a Host where a Guest causes physical damage to the booked Property during the Stay.
Host Protection forms part of these Terms and Conditions and must be read together with the other terms that apply to Hosts, Guests, Bookings, payments, account conduct, and use of the Stayverz Platform.
ℹ️ Note: Host Protection is not an insurance policy, warranty, or guarantee and does not replace any insurance, security measures, maintenance programme, or risk-management arrangements that a Host should reasonably maintain.
“Host”, “Guest”, “Platform”, “Property”, and “Stay” have the meanings given elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions.
Host Protection applies only to a Booking that was confirmed and paid for through Stayverz and for which the relevant Stay has ended.
The Host must have an active Stayverz account, must have complied with these Terms and Conditions, and must provide the information and cooperation reasonably requested by Stayverz.
✅ Included Automatically: Host Protection is included automatically on an eligible Booking and no separate Host fee is charged for the benefit.
For Verified Damage, Stayverz may pay the Host an amount up to the lower of:
The protection limit is an aggregate limit per Booking. All claims and incidents connected with the same Booking will be combined when applying the limit.
A payment will not exceed the amount of the loss that Stayverz reasonably verifies from the evidence provided.
Stayverz does not charge, collect, authorise, or hold a Guest security deposit for Host Protection. No additional deposit is payable by the Guest at checkout or held against the Guest's account for this purpose.
⚠️ Important: A Host must not describe Host Protection as a Guest-funded deposit or represent that a deposit is being held by Stayverz.
The Host must inspect the Property as soon as reasonably possible after the Guest checks out.
⏰ Critical Deadline: A claim must be submitted to Stayverz no later than twelve (12) hours after the Checkout Time. A claim submitted after that deadline is not eligible for payment under Host Protection.
The Host is responsible for ensuring that any approved late checkout or extension is correctly recorded on the Platform before the applicable checkout deadline.
The Host must submit clear photo or video evidence showing the Damage and must provide a description of what happened.
⚠️ Note: A claim may be rejected if the evidence is missing, materially incomplete, altered, misleading, or inconsistent.
After a claim is submitted, Stayverz may contact the Host and the Guest, review the submitted evidence and relevant Platform records, and request further information from either party.
Stayverz will assess the claim in good faith on the information reasonably available and may approve the claim in full, approve it in part, or reject it.
ℹ️ Final Decision: Stayverz's decision is final for the internal administration of Host Protection, subject to any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Where a claim is approved, Stayverz will pay the approved amount directly to the Host using a payment method supported by Stayverz or by applying another settlement method notified to the Host.
💰 Note: Stayverz may reduce or withhold a payment to reflect any amount already reimbursed, refunded, recovered, credited, or otherwise paid in respect of the same Damage.
Guests must treat the Property and its contents with reasonable care and must leave the Property substantially in the condition in which it was provided, allowing for normal use and ordinary wear and tear.
A Guest must cooperate with a Host Protection review and provide truthful information when requested.
⚠️ Account Impact: Verified Damage or failure to cooperate may affect the Guest's standing on Stayverz and may result in a warning, restriction, suspension, or termination of the Guest's account or future booking privileges in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Host Protection does not cover:
🚫 Zero Tolerance: Stayverz may reject a claim and may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where it reasonably believes that a claim is fraudulent, misleading, abusive, duplicated, or submitted in bad faith. Stayverz may also take any other action available under these Terms and Conditions or applicable law.
Stayverz may amend, suspend, or withdraw Host Protection by updating these Terms and Conditions or by providing notice through the Platform. Unless required by law or necessary to prevent fraud or misuse, a change will not reduce the protection that applied to a Booking already confirmed before the change took effect.
Stayverz may temporarily suspend the processing of a claim where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, obtain information, comply with law, or resolve a technical or payment issue.
If this Host Protection Policy conflicts with another part of these Terms and Conditions in relation to a Host Protection claim, this Policy will apply to that claim. All other provisions of the Terms and Conditions remain in effect.
A Host Protection claim must be submitted through the claim or support function made available by Stayverz. Any other question about this Policy may be sent through the official Stayverz support channel shown on the Platform.
